The three floor Winona State University Library is utilized by students, faculty, and the surrounding community and architecturally complements the neighboring buildings. The structure is concrete with block/brick wall construction and the roof was peaked to allow for mechanical space. The library provides flexible study options with 808 seats at study tables and carrels, 75 seats in lounge areas, and 20 group study rooms for four, five, or six occupants. It was also designed to be a library of the future and incorporate the newest technology. The main entrance features an inlaid terrazzo floor depicting life along the Mississippi River.
